Breast cancer care Survey

Survey of people with secondary breast cancer

This survey is for you to share your experiences of the care, treatment and impact of secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. The findings will help us to campaign for better healthcare and support for people affected by secondary breast cancer. This will help us to address the quality of healthcare and support for secondary breast cancer patients. Your views will help us with this - thank you.

Who should complete this survey?

We would like to hear from people who have been diagnosed with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. This is when cancer cells from the breast have spread to other parts of the body such as the bones, lungs, liver or brain. If this has happened to you, then please complete the survey.

Who should not complete this survey?

If you have a diagnosis of local or regional breast cancer recurrence rather than secondary (metastatic) breast cancer, this survey is not for you so please do not complete it. Local recurrence is when breast cancer has come back in the chest / breast area or in the skin near the original site or scar. Regional recurrence is when the breast cancer has spread to the tissues in the lymph nodes around the chest, neck and breast bone.

Completing the survey

The questions should be answered by you as the person who is being treated for secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. If someone is helping you, the answers should be given from your point of view, not the point of view of the person helping.

The questionnaire should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Please tick the box next to the answer closest to your view. Please do not type your name or address anywhere on the survey. If you need help to complete the survey, or require further information about it, call 0800 783 1775 (FREEPHONE) Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
