Primary Care Extended Access Survey 2017

High Weald Lewes Havens Clinical Commissioning Group (HWLH CCG) plans and buys healthcare services for the local population.

National funding will be made available from 2018 onwards to improve access to GP services. This includes making sure that everyone has easier and more convenient access to GP services including appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends if required.

HWLH are considering how best to deliver extended access to GP services across Lewes, Uckfield, Crowborough, Peacehaven and Newhaven to meet the needs of our population. To also make best use of our primary care resources, this extended access may be at your own or may be at another, local surgery.

HWLH CCGs would like to find out patient views on improving access to GP appointments/primary care services in evenings and at weekends.

This survey will give you the opportunity to tell us about when you would like to be able to access GP appointments, about the kind of services you might want to use seven days a week, about where you’d be willing to travel to access them and alternatives to face to face consultations.

The survey will take around 5-10 minutes to complete and is anonymous. This data will be used to shape access and provision of future general practice services, and will remain confidential. A specialist research company will be processing responses and analysing the data on our behalf.
