The Impact of COVID-19 on the Wellbeing of Nurses and Midwives in Wales

This questionnaire is about the health and wellbeing of the nursing and midwifery workforce and student nurses and midwives in Wales. We would like to invite you to participate in this important survey about your health and work. Full details of the study can be read here.

The survey is being run by Public Health Wales and is being distributed by the Royal College of Nursing, Royal College of Midwives, through the Directors of Nursing across Wales and via Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Quality Health is an experienced health survey company and has been contracted by Public Health Wales to manage the data collection process.

Your responses will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be securely transferred to Public Health Wales. You won’t be identified in any published reports.

Taking part in this survey is voluntary.
Published reports will not contain any personal details.

Who should complete the questionnaire?
The questions should be answered by you, as the person who works or studies in this area of healthcare practice. If you need help to complete the questionnaire, the answers should be given from your point of view – not the point of view of the person who is helping.

For each question, please tick the box that is closest to your views. If you make a mistake, simply click inside the box you meant to tick. The response should move. If the question has multiple responses, clicking on a tick again will remove it.

This questionnaire should take 10-15 minutes to complete.

To make sure the information we collate is useful, we need to collect some personal details from you. The purpose of collecting this information is to generate aggregated statistics about the nursing and midwifery workforce including students who provide care and treatment to people in Wales.

The results will be used to inform workforce planning and development. Your personal information is safe and you will not be identified in any published reports.

  • Any publication of the results will only include aggregated data and it will not be possible to identify individuals’ responses.
